Crescent Island is a small, private wildlife sanctuary located in Lake Naivasha, which is a freshwater lake in Kenya’s Rift Valley. The island is known for its abundance of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, buffalos, and various species of antelopes. The island was originally a peninsula, but it became an island when the water level of Lake Naivasha rose.
